Sylvia Cardenas is a native of El Paso, born and raised. As a teenager, her father taught her the importance of giving back to the community. Fresh out of High School, she volunteered for several organizations 
including the El Paso State Center, MHMR, and the El Paso Down Syndrome Association which assisted families not only in El Paso, but also those in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
She went on to attend UTEP and San Siego State with the hopes of receiving an education in Family Law. While there, she was employed as a Legal Advocate Against Domestic Violence for the YWCA, and on weekends would volunteer to assist women with simple marriage dissolution and restraining orders.
Returning to El Paso, she obtained her license as a Private Registered Guardian and is appointed cases through our Probate Court judges. Sylvia provided Catechismal study at St. Raphael's Parish in a program designed for children with disabilities.
She has 24 years of experience volunteering and working in the Social Service field. Her volunteering has extended to her role as an Ambassador in the Amigo Airshow for about 
10 years. Although she's not yet a member of the El Paso Downtown Lion's Club, she has assisted their organization with many events.
In 2000, she received her Real Estate License and worked part-time as an agent until joining Century 21 in 2003, full-time, and immediately became a Top Agent. Her previous work experience had prepared her for the most important aspects of being a Realtor; honesty, loyalty, ethics, and going the extra mile for each client. Her commitment to her clients in Real Estate, and her involvement in the community are a great asset to her favorite city, El Paso.
